Reformed Spirit adheres in the Reformed theology teaching that holds to the authority of Scripture, the sovereignty of God, salvation by grace through Christ, and the necessity of evangelism. Reformers themselves traced their doctrine to Scripture, as indicated by their credo of “sola scriptura,” so Reformed theology is not a “new” belief system but one that seeks to continue apostolic doctrine.

For the believer, the fact that God holds people accountable for what they read in Scripture is reason for rejoicing, for this means we have the privilege of hearing directly from God when we come humbly before His Word. - James White
For the believer, the fact that God holds people accountable for what they read in Scripture is reason for rejoicing, for this means we have the privilege of hearing directly from God when we come humbly before His Word. While for the unbeliever this only brings judgment, since God has given us His Word and will hold us accountable to it, for the believer it is reason for celebration, a sure sign of His continued faithfulness to His promise to build His church and bless His people.”

Scripture Alone: Exploring the Bible's Accuracy, Authority, and Authenticity
I agree with James White when he says, "since God has given us His Word and will hold us accountable to it". But I feel sorry for him when he satnds in front of Christ and gives an account for NOT being accountable to God's word but rather corrupting it and misleading other to believe trash as truth!
ReplyDelete"When James White says 'I believe the Bible IS the infallible words of God' he is not referring to a real, tangible, in print, hold it in your hands and read, Book at all. He is referring to a mythical, imaginary, hypothetical, invisible and non-existent, phantom 'bible' that he has never seen, does not have and certainly cannot give to anybody else.
In other words, he is professing faith in a Fantasy. And then he thinks we Bible believers who have a real Bible printed on paper between two covers we can actually hold in our hands and give to anybody that asks to see it are 'a cult', and even heretics.
In his way of thinking, those of us who confess a faith in a tangible, preserved, and inerrant Bible are 'heretics' and 'cultic', but people like him who lie when they say they believe the Bible IS (as though it really exists) the infallible words of God" are somehow 'Orthodox'"
